Drip enrollment, video activities and a more accessible platform

Highlights this half-year

1. Drip enrollment and the library

   You can now enrol new employees in phases. They start with a small onboarding block and then receive one course at a time, at a pace you set yourself. You configure this as an organisation-wide standard or per department; the feature is off until you switch it on, so nothing changes by itself. Optional and older courses now live in the library, where employees enrol themselves. When new courses appear there, the platform can email employees daily, with wording you control.

2. Video as its own activity

   You can now add videos to a course directly as an activity, without SCORM packaging. The activity completes itself once the video has been watched almost entirely, remembers where someone left off and prevents skipping ahead. You can set a separate video per language, so everyone watches the explanation in their own language. Uploaded videos are also stored privately and played only through temporary, secured links.

3. Accessible to WCAG 2.1 AA

   In two rounds the platform was made more accessible for anyone working with a screen reader, keyboard-only navigation or an enlarged display. Every page now has the correct language and its own title, labels and column headers are connected, keyboard focus is visible and text scales with your browser setting. Your branding stays readable too. If a chosen text colour has too little contrast, the platform shows the text in black or white; your own brand and background colours do not change, and the organisation form shows the measured contrast ratio per colour combination.

4. More from the Entra connection

   The Microsoft Entra connection now takes more work off your hands. When an employee is removed from the linked security group, the platform automatically sets the account to inactive at the next synchronisation. The synchronisation overview now shows when a connection last actually ran, whether a scheduled run is overdue and whether access is still valid. If a synchronisation stalls anyway, the scheduler catches up by itself and a daily check warns you as soon as a connection stops working.

5. Report phishing from Outlook

   Since March there is a customisable “Report phishing” button for Outlook, delivered as an add-in. Employees use it to report a suspicious email directly from their mail client, and you decide what the button is called and how it looks, in line with your own organisation. Reporting becomes as easy as clicking, which is exactly the behaviour you want a phishing simulation to teach. The 2LRN4 Phishing Reporter guide explains how to set up and roll out the button.
