July 2026 – Drip enrollment, library, video activity and accessibility

Overview of the most important changes delivered in July 2026.

New

  • Drip enrollment. New employees can now be enrolled in phases: first a small onboarding block, then one course at a time following a cadence you configure. Available as an organisation default or per department, and off by default; nothing changes until you switch it on.
  • Library. Optional and historical courses now live in a library where employees enrol themselves. When new courses appear in the library, the platform can send employees a daily email; this email type can be switched on or off per organisation and the text is fully editable.
  • Central organisation curriculum. Course order and onboarding marking can now also be defined at organisation level. Departments without their own course offering follow it automatically; a department with its own curriculum keeps it.
  • Video activity. A new activity type for hosted videos, without SCORM packaging. The activity completes itself once the video has been watched almost entirely, remembers where someone left off and prevents skipping ahead. You can set a separate video per language.
  • Open trainings via the API. A new endpoint returns each employee's unfinished trainings, including the deadline and progress, with filters to retrieve in one call who is behind. The API documentation has been updated.
  • Automatic offboarding via Entra. When an employee is removed from the linked Entra security group, the platform automatically sets the account to inactive at the next synchronisation.
  • Entra connection at a glance. The synchronisation overview now shows when a connection last actually ran, whether a scheduled run is overdue and whether access is still valid.
  • SSO behaviour configurable per organisation. You now decide what happens when someone signs in via single sign-on without an account: refuse (recommended) or create it automatically within the licence. Nothing changes for existing customers.

Improved

  • Accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA). In two rounds the platform was made more accessible for people using a screen reader, keyboard-only navigation or an enlarged display. Among other things: the correct language and a proper title per page, connected labels and column headers, visible keyboard focus, better contrast and text that scales with your browser setting.
  • Brand colours stay readable. If a chosen text colour has too little contrast, the platform shows the text in black or white; your own brand and background colours do not change. The organisation form shows the measured contrast ratio per colour combination.
  • Videos protected. Uploaded videos are now stored privately and played only through temporary, secured links.
  • Confirmation on self-enrolment. Anyone who enrols themselves via the library receives the same confirmation as with a regular enrolment.
  • Faster platform. The main JavaScript file is roughly ten times smaller and pages are delivered optimised; the platform loads noticeably faster.
  • Security tightened further. A broad check against known vulnerabilities led to 190 components being updated, including a critical update of the SAML library. The Microsoft and Google sign-in gained extra protection and an automatic vulnerability check now runs monthly.
  • API secret stored more safely. The secret a connection uses to authenticate can no longer be read back from our systems. It is shown once when created; store it at that moment. Existing connections keep working.

Fixed

  • Stalled Entra synchronisations. The scheduler could miss a planned run, after which a synchronisation silently stopped. The scheduler now catches up by itself and a daily check warns when a connection no longer works or is behind. Organisations that had stalled have been caught up in one go.
  • Synchronisation overwrote enrolments. The nightly synchronisation could reset start and end dates of running or even completed enrolments. Existing enrolments are now left untouched and the distorted dates have been repaired.
  • Enrolments on expired courses. New employees could be enrolled through the automatic connection on courses whose end date had already passed, and received a “course available” email about it. Such enrolments are now skipped and the incorrect ones have been cleaned up.
  • Signing in with Microsoft and Google. A tightening of the security settings blocked the redirect to the sign-in screen for a few hours; this has been fixed. Anyone signing in via single sign-on without an existing account now gets a clear message instead of an empty sign-in screen.
  • Phishing data via the API. The phishing endpoints returned an error when an organisation had a campaign that was created but never sent. Those are now skipped, and “no campaigns” can be distinguished from “no responses” in the reply.
  • Report scheduler. The labels of scheduled reports now follow the user's language, and the missing schedule and time fields on the edit screens are back.
  • Outage in dropdowns and dashboard. For one evening the quiz dropdown stayed empty and the dashboard showed no charts. This was fixed the same evening; no data was lost.

Removed

  • Chat and in-platform FAQ. The chat widget and the FAQ module have been phased out. The knowledge base lives at 2lrn4.com/support; the contact form within the platform remains.
  • Webinar activity. The unused webinar type has been removed. Existing webinar activities show a notice and their data is preserved.
