Why content-only SCORM works for mature L&D
L&D organizations that already operate an LMS rarely want a second learning platform. At the same time, building security awareness content in-house is hard: it requires subject expertise, multiple languages, voice acting and annual updates. SCORM is the natural compromise: you keep the learning infrastructure you already have and only buy the content.
With 2LRN4 SCORM you receive the same modules that run in our SaaS environment. How often those updates reach your users depends on the variant you choose.

Not every organization has the same needs from a SCORM delivery. Some customers want a package they receive once and manage entirely themselves, for example because their LMS runs in a closed environment or because they cannot load external content. Others want to keep that same self-managed setup, but appreciate receiving a refreshed version once a year that they can import on their own schedule. Other customers prefer to be fully supported and want us to keep the content current centrally, so their users always have the latest scenarios without the LMS administrator having to import a new package each time. That's why we offer three variants.

The choice mainly depends on how your organization handles external content and how much administrative effort you want to take on. If you work in a sector where the LMS must not make external connections by design—such as defense, parts of healthcare, or certain government agencies—Static is the logical choice. If you want to keep that closed setup but still receive a refreshed version every year for import, Static with annual update is the right fit. If you prefer minimal effort keeping your awareness content current and accept that the content is loaded from our servers, Connected is the way forward. What you get in the SCORM package
Per course you receive a SCORM package that bundles a short video, an e-learning module and an assessment. Per language you deliver one package to your LMS, or you can use a wrapper that selects the correct language automatically. Progress, score and completion are reported through the standard SCORM runtime.
How reporting works without our platform
Because your LMS is the runtime, your LMS also owns reporting. We provide guidance on the standard SCORM fields (cmi.completion_status, cmi.success_status, cmi.score.scaled) and indicate which questions are suitable for management KPIs. That keeps a single source of truth for all learning outcomes.
When SCORM is not the right choice
SCORM is content only. If you also need phishing simulation, audience segmentation by risk profile and governance reporting for NIS2 articles 20 and 21, the SaaS version remains the right answer.

Which SCORM versions do you support?
SCORM 1.2 and SCORM 2004 (3rd and 4th edition). For special requirements we can deliver xAPI on request.
How often are the packages updated?
With SCORM Static you receive the package once and decide yourself if and when you want a new version. With SCORM Static with annual update you automatically receive a refreshed version every year to import into your LMS. With SCORM Connected we handle updates centrally, so your users always have current scenarios without you having to import anything. We publish at least one major content update per year, plus interim improvements as needed.
What if our LMS cannot load external content?
Then SCORM Static is the right choice. The package runs entirely within your LMS environment without any outbound connection. If you're unsure whether your network or security policy allows Connected, we'll check that together with your IT administrator in a brief intake call before you commit to purchase.
Do your packages work with SuccessFactors / Cornerstone / Moodle / StudyTube / aNewSpring?
Yes. We have customers in production with all of these systems. For unknown LMS systems we ask for a sample import first to validate the integration.
Do I get branding rights to the content?
Not by default. The content remains 2LRN4 content. White-label licenses are possible under a separate commercial arrangement.
Can I add my own questions?
Not in the SCORM variant. If you want organization-specific questions, the SaaS version supports custom content and custom assessments.
