Want to recognise what employees have learned? This is done using certificates (diplomas). As an organisation, you decide when a certificate is awarded (digitally). You also control how the certificate looks and what information is shown on it. If desired, we can assist you with the design.
Assigning certificates
You can assign certificates to courses or categories. When an employee successfully completes a course, a certificate can be sent automatically. For each course or category where a certificate is required, you need to create a certificate.
- Go to Manage certificates to create or edit a certificate.
- Title: this title is not shown on the certificate, but is visible in the user dashboard. Choose a recognisable name.
- Description: for internal use only.
- Enable notifications: if selected, the user will receive a notification in the platform.
- Enable email notifications: if selected, the user will receive an email (email template: Certificate added).
- Trigger: choose whether the certificate is awarded after completing a course or a category.
- Select target item: select the specific course or category.
- Image: upload the certificate image.
- Orientation: choose the image orientation (Landscape or Portrait).
- Title: enter the title that should appear on the certificate.
- Title position x & y: define where the title appears on the certificate.
- Action: the action for which this certificate is awarded (for example, course or category name).
- Action position x & y: define where the action text appears.
- Recipient:
@recipientwill be replaced with the first and last name. - Recipient position x & y: define where the recipient name appears.
- Reason: the reason why the recipient receives this certificate.
- Reason position x & y: define where the reason text appears.
- Date:
@datewill be replaced with the completion date. - Date position x & y: define where the date appears.
A preview of the certificate is shown on the right side of the screen. When you are satisfied, click Save.
Automatic copy to HR
In some organisations, HR would like to receive a copy of the certificate. This can be used for personnel files or as supporting evidence for subsidies or compliance requirements.
- Go to Edit company in the menu.
- Select Send the certificate to HR.
- Click Save.
- Enter the email address where certificates should be sent.
- Click Save again.
